I received the receipt number today from my attorney
My application was received in Nebraska on 19th June, filed concurrently, with I 140 pending in Texas since 5/16
My I 140 was approved on 27th July.
My receipt numbers are as below, so it was moved from Nebraska to Texas
I-485- SRC-07-230-xxxx
I-765- SRC-07-230-xxxx
I-131- SRC-07-230-xxxx

My attorney received my receipts as well as my wife's receipts...they sent me scanned receipts....PD Mar 2005...hand delivered to NSC on july 2nd...Received EAD 10 days ago...I-140 is from TSC...had a LUD on 5th august.....Receipts starts from SRC...it got transferred to TSC from NSC.. Received Date is July 2nd...Notice Date is August 14...

Over the past 4 years, I have contributed to IV several times. I was also a monthly subscriber of $20 for over a year until my credit card expired and the payments stopped.
What pains me is that inspite of several requests, i have not been granted access to donor forms. Perhaps there is a waiting list for donor access or my priority date is not current for the same.:confused:
I will try my best to make it to DC events, but please accept my small contribution in case i am unable to make the trip.
Transaction ID # 44Y412702G964994U date 2/25/2011 $25. monthly contribution for 6 months.

I came in 1998. Was working with Indian startup. He screwed me
up big time. ( I decided after that I will never work for Indian employers).
He kept on telling me now, tomorrow..for starting GC process. Finlly
he told me to go back to Indian office( In 2001). So I quit.
I joined with new company. After 1 year they agreed to start
GC for me. Another Desi in the company already started his GC.
I had to go with that lawyer, since company doesn't want to deal
with 2 lawyers. There was something going on between this lawyer
and this Desi guy. Anyway this lawyer took all papers from me
and told me everything filed. After one year I came to know that
he did not do a thing. So in effect I miss the golden chance.
I had to start again. In 2003 middle they filed again. And
then the retrogression.....The story goes on....
After two years in the US, I told my employer that I want to file for GC...
Going to and fro he spent 8 months sayign that he is in the process of doing it...Then he gave me the papers to sign...After that he kept telling me that the lawyer had filed it for one and a half year...In April 04 employer changed lawyers...The new lawyer tried to find all cases at the DOL...My case and one of my friends case is 'missing'...They telling me that is old lawyers fault.....They told us to file a new cases...I am sitting around since July 04.....I am so sick of this whole thing.....
July 04 was my chance to change job or go back...I decided to stick with the job...my bad...Now I am really stuck.....Am waiting for 8th year extension...Wife finishing MS in May and baby on way....I am stuck with dead end job...not well paid......

The guy Affirmatively said "It will be June 2002" and gave me red because the dates i gave were behind , Ithought it was funny because we are all playing the prediction game.....
I am thinking if I should i start a game to predict the dates, and who ever gets closest date will get few greens..... ;)

how do you track if the money order was cashed?
Check your money order receipts (or stubs) .Most of them will have official website (for instance western union) where you can track your MO .They will also provide customers with 24 X 7 toll free access number where you can check status.
You can also request photo copy of cashed MO but you will end up paying 12 bucks are more on each MO .Hope that helps...

There is no wrong doing by DOS by changing the VB, but the timing is wrong. They should have changed it as soon as they released it or else atleast by 25th or 26th to prevent some damage.

USCIS broke a law last month by not accepting the EB3 Other workers, even when the bulletin said that the numbers were avaible.
But this time , they just did something morally wrong ( that 2 i am not sure, based upon what i have read so far, which are more or less speculations)

and USCIS just follwed it, No Law was broken,atleast i cant see, which law was broken.
If you go for a lawsuit , you would get those damages back, but as i said USCIS being a fees funded organisation, its will come back to you.

When you think about it, reservation and quota system is actually a better deal for the upper caste.
First check out this picture, which details the population percentages and proposed reservations: File:PopulationEstimations.jpg - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:PopulationEstimations.jpg)
As per the above picture, 52% of people in India belongs to Backward classes according to Mandal estimates. Since the proposed reservation for them is 27%, the reservation system works in favor of Forward classes as long as Backward classes are not uplifted from their current pathetic situation. Another way of looking at the graph is that 25.5% of people in India belongs to forward classes; and their share in the Indian pie in terms of higher education of job opportunities --> (100 - 27 - 22.5 = 50.5%). Personally I like this system, than 25.5% of us getting only 25.5% of our share.
To conclude:

All uscis does every month when they publish processing dates is look at the Receipt date of the application still pending at the time and publishes that info. So in that sense, "not moving the processing date" does not make sense. Unless you mean they deliberately reduce the number of hours they work so fewer applications are processed.

During July 2007 fiassco, many members of IV experienced that files were flying between nebraska and california centers without apparent reason. If you have followed processing dates in past you would surely have obeserved dates not moving at all for months. Does that mean nobody was working at USCIS at that time? No.. What it means - " We have heavy work load and we want to go in particular direction and so we are delaying" - in terms of USCIS.
