I do not see a reason for what they are doing. The Original July VB was in Archived Bulletins as of july 2nd. The revised one is placed in the current visa Bulletins. So why the changes? is there any diference?

I keep reading we should fight for out rights and all. I am just curious
where does it say if on is on H1B or F1, he or she has a right to get a GC. GC or citizenship is a privilege, we cant demand it or force someone to give it to us. Its a simple demand and supply situation, there are more visa seekers then there is availability and therefore there is a waiting period. i am not sure why we don't accept the simple fact that there are way too many people from developing country like ours moving to US, and not everyone can be accommodated ASAP. i think US has every right to do what it thinks is best for her, even if we don't agree with that,
And those who say its discrimination, discrimination is when people from Bihar are beaten up on the streets of mumbai cause they are taking jobs away from marathi manus. Had there been so many techies from around the world taking up jobs in India, we would have seen street lynching.

Please send the email (something is better than nothing) but you will receive a return email like this after 20-30 days but the message reaches across them by email at least.
I took about 3 weeks for me to convince , going up the ladder in HR Department and finally i got that page signed after 4 weeks - Call , Call again , Follow up, follow up , push , push harder ... you have every right to get that letter and employer will face no trouble issuing it. be Polite , be rough , be mild and startover again on phone to get it

My husband's I-140 is pending at TSC for an year now and employer is not agreeing to sign on form 7001. Can we send an e-mail to Omburdsman and expect some action to be taken?? does it help?

sbmallik, could explain how interfile works and process; is it similar to I485 ?!
Good news!! Next step is to file I-140 (is your employer filing in premium processing?) and upon approval, interfile with the existing I-485 application to port the priority date.

There are 2 options in my opinion.
1. Secure an appointment with the local ASC and have them expedite this case if you want to travel early. They may require some supporting documents. The appointment can be made via Infopass at http://infopass.uscis.gov/index.php
2. Call USCIS at the number on your receipt notice. Select a series of numbers as per the prompts to talk to a Service Rep. Tell them your urgency to travel and they will expedite your case. It will take 5 business days from the date the request gets expedited to get a response back from USCIS.

NY DL have 2 dates, One in Top with RED Bold letters its called Temp Visa Date and at botton DL exprie date. I have contacted in DMV office. They said I can drive using bottom Exprie date which is exprie in 2010(mine) ,But I cant use the DL as ID if Temp VISA expire on DL.Unless I renew it with approved H1B visa date.So I have to Carry Passport ,recepit copy and Employer lettter with all time just as proof if cop caught me.

Plus, think about it this way, without this current, you won't be able to file your 485 anyway till next year.
Relax Buddy , now that the bus has come they will keep coming .Most of the people will go in this bus. The dates will retrogress for some time and will be current maybe next year . If not this bus then the next bus . No use raising your blood pressure for this . Attorneys and the media have a habit of scaring people unnecessarily . This Current date is not the end of the world , so take a chill pill ..

Just a thought.
I think USCIS might be busy with approving I485 cases of EB2-India/China. From October it might be on track. For most of cases, approving I140 immediately is not going to help applicant as he has to wait for I485 as per priority date.

not completely true...if people had filed their i-140 and i-485 before retrogression in 2005 (that means perm was approved before september 2005), they got their gcs last year, people like me with priority dates in sept 2005 (due to the general incompetencies that we have all experienced) were able to file only in july 2007.
