Hey Jason,
You can't use lines, but you can use text instead. For a line, use an underscore _ or - or | or \ or / or >, and so on. for a circle, you can use an 'o'.

H1-H4-H1 conversion --Please advice

Hi,
I came US through H4.Currently on H1 since Oct 08. As Economy is bad,my employer couldnot place me in a project.So my employer is asking to convert from H1 to H4(by applying i-539) and once i get project can move back from H4 to H1, which will not come under seperate Quota as my H1 is already approved once.
Can i know is this safe to move from H1 to H4 and then back from H4 to H1 once i get project.Will there be any issues in converting H4 to H1.What are the chances of getting H1 back.
Please advice.Any suggestions is really appreciated.

Would really appreciate if some one can answer this question.
Is it possible to movie from H1B to EDA (valid unitl Oct 2010), work part time on EAD to complete Master's degree and then move back to the same employer to continuing working full time on H1B?
(assuming current employer is willing to allow going part time)

Guys, I need ur suggestion and experiences on my typical situation
I am in the process of going full time with my client.
I have my I-485 Filed in July 2007 & have EAD & AP
I am not in a position to use EAD as I got married after I filed for I-485. I have to stay on H1B to maintain my wife's H4 status.
my Client's Attorney is filing for H1B transfer and is suggesting that I can use EAD to start working as soon as he files for H1B transfer.
My understanding is I will loose H1 status if I use EAD, hence H4 will be invalid.
Was anybody in a similar situation ?
I don't want to take a risk by using EAD and my wife loosing H4 status.
Please advice

Hi,
I did not find a conclusive answer to my situation when i looked up multiple immigration forums.Hoping you folks can help.
My H1B expired on Jan 13th 2011 and my employer filed for extension on Dec 17th (Regular process) for Client A using LCA filed for City A. The case status is in initial review. Due to project reasons employer now wants me to move to City B for the same client. But my company's immigration dept have some reservations doing the relocation while the H1 extension is not approved yet.
1) Can we move to a location other than the one filed in LCA before the extension approval.
2) Can we use a already existing LCA for city B.( My company already has a Blanket LCA in city B). what is the relationship between the validity of the LCA and the H1 extension that is being requested in the petition.
3) Can we file a new LCA for city B. would this need a H1 amendment
4) Will any of the above options negatively impact my extension approval.

Keep new approved H1 and all related documents with you for POE, also EVL.
I enered POE twice in similar situation as yours without new stamping.
Both times POE (Atlanta) experience was good for me.
I just entered even after new USCIS memo.

I filed my 485 on June 4th 2007 with NSC. It was transferred to TSC and received my Receipt notice. Now I am going to file my AP.
My question is where should I file my AP?. Do I need to file with NSC or TSC?.

I was laid off in Dec 2009, but severance will stop till early Feb. Now I found two potential jobs. Company A is a corporation in same state, but company B is a university in some other State.
1. How long will take them to transfer my H1B? does the different States matter on this transfer time? I want to make sure which one can submit the H1B transfer before my paycheck stops in Feb.
2. In order to apply for Green Card later, which job is better for Green Card application? I heard university will not help the staff (accountant) for Green Card application. Is that true?

DOL is republishing and reinstating regulations in place on January 16, 2009, for 9 months, after which the Department will either have engaged in further rulemaking or lift the suspension.
