The US Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has issued guidance for people traveling after the attempted bombing of a plane on Christmas Day. TSA stresses that security measures are not the same in every airport, and this is deliberate so that people cannot anticipate how they will be screened. Details of the TSA guidance is here. Vivek Wadhwa always has interesting things to say about skilled immigrants. Here is a snippet from his recent Business Week commentary: I have a suggestion for Grassley and Durbin. Pass a bill to deregulate the H-1B visa program, and eliminate the restrictions that make it difficult for H-1B holders to travel, switch jobs, or get promoted. Create a fast-track status to U.S. citizenship for H-1B holders providing they launch a company that employs more than 10 American workers within three years. And grant residency to the nearly 1 million H-1B holders and their families waiting in limbo to obtain permanent...

What does ADIT processing means any idea is that we need to go to local USCIS office for the interview?
Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before you get your new card call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

One of the options the President has had on the table - one every President has - is using an administrative option to provide temporary legal status and work authorization to those in the country illegally. Rumors have been spreading within the community of antis around the country and they've gotten a handful of hardcore anti-immigrant members of Congress to send a letter warning the President to drop the idea (if indeed it was really being considered. How could President Obama do what the paralyzed Congress can't? Two options come to mind. He could look at a blanket policy using...

I got green card through marriage. My wife is a US citizen and I came here legally and was in legal status(F-1) before getting married. We got married in August 2005. I applied for green card following year and finally got my card approved March 2008. I got a conditional residence which expires March 2010. I did all paperwork myself. My wife recomend me for an attorney for removal of condition. Attorney tells me that USCIS screwed up and sent me a conditonal residence card as under,"Immigration Marriage Fraud Amendments Act of 1986 (IMFA) on November 6, 1986. INA 216, 8 USC 1186a","Under IMFA, an alien spouse who obtained the status of an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence by virtue of a marriage contracted less than 24 months before the date of admission is considered to have obtained such status on a conditional basis."
Now he wants me to send the green card back to USCIS as at the time of approval of my petition my marriage had passed more than two years!
I am confused. I need a second opinion.
Please help
Thanks for your precious time. I really appreciate it

Hello All,
As per the latest regulations, the employer has to pay for all the labor application cost. My employer has agreed to do my green card, but are little hesitant to pay the cost (due to budget constraint). What legal options/adjustments can I make with my employer so that the cost process is not delayed? Can they deduct part of my salary to bear the cost etc...?
Thanks in advance.
Regards.
Thats illegal. You don't want to get into trouble in future so please do not do that.

There have been many op-ed pieces discussing the GOP's suicidal alienation of Latino voters. There is no evidence that Republicans will even get a short term boost from anti-immigration voters (the relatively small number of people who make that their major electoral issue) since these folks overwhelmingly vote Republican anyway. And the long term harm in terms of getting votes from the country's fastest growing electoral group will be massive. The Washington Post's Michael Gerson piece this morning does a good job summing up the stakes: Ethnic politics is symbolic and personal. Democratic presidential candidate John F. Kennedy gained African...

Hi, Cled. You got a good shadow in there, but it's opposing the direction of sunlight (note the flower's stamen which has a shadow coming towards the camera).
The person appears to have been caught in "mid leap" although intended to be kneeling. I'm not sure how you'd really do something about that. Perhaps by making the shadow appear darker and less blurred near knees and shoes?
As far as blending the person over the flower, looks good - no funny edges or outlines.
