There were twobiometrics. One was with initial application (probably Nov/Dec 2005) and another was in May 2007 when the first one expired (FP is valid for 15 months).

Hi, I am in the same boat as you. Can you please provide your experience with filing the future employment I-485 and if AC21 is possible.
My question is: Can you continue to work for employer B while employer A files future employment I-485 and can we use AC-21 after 180 days without being employed with employer A?

Media coverage of the situation faced by Highly-skilled immigrants has been negligible or nil. As a result many of the lawmakers are unaware of the situation faced by us. IV has come forward to make a Press Release on our behalf to educate the media on the impact of the issue on our community.
Now that IV has done it's part and issued a Press Release outlining the issues faced by highly-skilled employment immigrants in Michigan, onus is on MI members, and others, to call upon the MI newspapers and media to cover our issues as outlined in the press release.
I request all MI members, and others, to call up and/or E-mail the newspapers urging them to feature a newstory covering the issues faced by our community citing IV PR as the source. We are also in the process of collecting and collating stories from people who were rejected licences due to the new rule.
If we can get our stories to the media it will provide publicity to our issues and get noticed by Michigan lawmakers while deciding on the new law. Hence it's really crticial for all of us to participate and make this action item a success story.
Here's a template you can use to E-mail. Put your name and address as newspapers don't normally respond to E-mails sent anonymously. Also customize as required. Please kep the reference to IV Press Release as it's important to get coverage for our issue.

It also affects a large number of International students studying in the state universities.
As a regular reader , I feel disappointed by the lack of media coverage for an issue affecting thousands in the state, including yours. Immigration Voice (http://www.immigrationvoice.org) , a non-profit grassroots organization working to fix the issues faced by legal employment-based immigrants has issued a press release on the issue.

I wanted to inform the community that our GC is finally approved... I just checked my email hoping against hope that I might see some good news and good news is what I saw...
This is a tremendous relief to us.
They have approved and ordered card production to myself and my spouse. But looks like they have not approved our son's GC. Hope they don't delay that last piece of processing any longer.
Good luck to everybody else and hope you all the best.
Isn't this everyody's concern ? GC process is something that has absolutely no predictability. It's all luck...I've been waiting for that moment from almost 8 years postponing many important decisions in life. So, I've come to the realization that the only thing we can do is hope.

I am the same boat. My wife got her card wheras I got a response to the SR we raised that my card was sent the same day as my 485 approval notice and it might been lost in mail. I was asked to file I-90. I called customer service several times and talked to 2nd level IO and all suggested to file I-90. I took infopass but gave a shot again by talking to 2nd level IO who went over my case and said that my card was never created so she raised a SR.
My previous SR was raised by officer at the local uscis office who mentioned non delivery of PR cards which i don't think is the correct request. Now I have to pray and hope they create the card or have to file I-90
I had same experience. Various customer service rep told me that my card was indeed sent. I think they go by email notications or by status changes to our I-485 application. It goes through "Card Production Ordered" and "Post decision activity" even when there is problem with card production. Its only when they look in some other system, they find that there was a problem with card production.

Good Morning,
I went to the uscis local office. The officer told my case SRC-****7236 (765) Renewal was denied on 06/25/2010. He didn’t have the denial details. He told he will send an email to Texas USCIS asking the details. He also told my 485 motion approved and my recent travel document approved but strange that they denied EAD.
Unfortunately we (Myself & Lawyer) never received a denial notice.
My EAD is expiring sep 3rd. I know mostly they denied by without seeing my 485 motion approval.I am requesting denial notice by opening SR
Help me and suggest to overcome this SITUATION (Another wrong denial by USCIS.)

You are saying ur PD was Sec 2005? Mine is Dec 2005. Should I also expect it sometime soon :)?
If it is Dec 2005 you must be from non-retro and going by the many approvals for non-retro, you should certainly expect it soon (especially if other checks are complete)

I beg to disagree on this thought:
I think in the above scenario, they do not invalidate your H1. You can continue till the end-date on the H1, even though it was approved based on pending I-485. I suggest you consult an attorney on this specific scenario.
You can work on h1b - you will get H1b based on existing approved 140 and pending 485.
If 140 is revoked by employer you may get a RFE or NOID or in rare cases erroneous denial but you can continue on h1b while you respond to RFE or NOID oor through MTR to erroneous denial.
Sending AC21 docs does not necessarily mean you may not get NOID - AC21 docs seldom go into your file.

My 485 was filed during 2007 fiasco. I work for one of the big 3car company in Detroit as a consultant and situation is changing fast here, compelling me to search shelter somewhere else.
Luckily I got an offer from a new employer which is enticing me two pull the trick of Ac21. But before I do so, I would like to get your kind advise on the following points.
a) My Job title is programmer Analyst with my current employer but in the offer letter of the future employer is is given as "Sr. java developer". Does this title change matters? The new employer has agreed to give me the Ac21 letter with same job duty description.
b) The salary increase in the job is almost 50%. Do you think this causes any red flag.
c) The company size of the new employer is much small than the current employer. Is this OK.
I am really depending on you people's expertise. Any help will really make me confident about this change.

My employer filed I-140 in June but I did not get any approval yet so my employer ask me to wait until it approved then file for I-485?
