I'm due for my H1 visa extn as it is going to expire in Apr-2010 and my employer is going to do it anytime soon. I have heard that these days USICS is extending the H1 based on the project end date mentioned on Purchase Order, if that is the case then
[1] does it mean that we can get extn only for 6 months or so instead of 3 yrs [if your I-140 is approved]?
[2] And after six months do we again have to file for extn and pay all the fees again ?
Any help on this issue is highly appreciated.

Didn't you know for sure that you were going to stay with employer before asking them to apply GC.
It may be illegal by Law by asking you to give the money back, but where would you put your action of wasting somebody's money?
Not sure the contracting terms between you and your employer, but surely he was not the one forcing you to join the company, its you joined.
If he was ready to help you to get GC, ready to invest atleast 9K on the process, why would you think his money is there just for you to play.
Of course, you have valid points by law, you may escape from the latch now, but make sure this is not an repeating event.

And who knows I may have to agree to this policy in future if I decide to redo my GC application :)

how can one get copy of i140? does it not belong to the company?
You can always ask for a copy of the approval after the I-140 is approved. Depends on how cooperative your HR and lawyer are.

RD is also not a reliable predictor since there are people who have been approved who applied for AOS in July 2007 while those who had applied prior to this are still waiting to see the light.
It is a random process for sure.

So that implies it is not required. also the correct spelling is mandatory.
The solid evidence is the number of RFEs that have been issued by USCIS if you do not have a skin test.

No point in bashing Indian companies. As they are going political on this issue, my cousin just graduated from School and does not have a job, his dad thinks that his son lost his competitve spirit and is unable to compete for a job, while we all know the actual situation which is pathetic for new h1b seekers.
IV mebers - though our focus is on GC backlog and retrogression - lets all not forget that these are also big issues, especially new immigrants seeking h1b etc...
For those who do not care about families - tearing families is the worst thing that can ever happen and if you are on that side, you will understand the pain.
And for those who think CIR failed which is good for us - just think about the 12 million illegals and walk in their shoes - what goes through them - CIR is their only hope.

I am also planning on changing location from one state to another but the job is still with the same company (just moving to a different branch). My lawyer said it will not affect my GC but I have to get a new LCA for my H1. I still do not understand how this will not affect my GC (I have a approved 140 and waiting to file 485). Is there a way this is possible like if the labor is filed from the corporate office and has nothing do with branch locations?
I just want to make sure it is safe before I move.

The one with the red roses is a bit too shallow depth of field, both in the first one and the one posted later. It looks like you focused on the central/foreground rose, and the one at the back looks just a little bit too much (or too little) out of focus to me. I know it's not easy to do these things...

She brought a couple of Japanese catalogs as examples of these sorts of preserved flower arrangements, and they all tended to a shallow DoF, overexposed, soft look. For the arrangements, I didn't much care for the style, but for the single rose, I rather liked the result.
I convinced her that having some sharp detail was good, but she really liked the shallow, overexposed look. Hence the light colored backgrounds in most of the shots, and a central blossom. I am rather glad of that, since, when left to myself, I was having a devil of a time trying to get a DoF that kept the subject sharp, and put the background OoF. I think I need a bigger "studio" next time (instead of my dining table...).
OTOH, maybe studio work isn't really for me...

1) if quarterly soillover is a law and USCIS not doing it they are doing something against the law so we can file a lawsuit against it but again how can we prove that they are not doing quarterly spillover.
USCIS says its happening......
2) If USCIS doesnt use full numbers assigned for Green Cards and waste them you can again sue them for that but will it be succesfull or not that has to be researched.

3) That H1b employee - employer relation memo is a best example to file a lawsuit against them as there interpratation of the law was completely wrong but noone did it.
I read somewhere about the memo being withdrawn for more review.............
Finding a judge who will be favorable to our cause, priceless!!
